8/1/12: As you are aware, NTEU and BJ’s Wholesale Club has teamed up to offer a discount on BJ’s annual memberships.  The August enrollment period for our members to take advantage of this discount has been extended through September 30, 2012.

BJ’s is a discount wholesale club that offers discounted prices on over 6,500 different products and services.  The BJ’s Wholesale Club/NTEU member receives many benefits through this special offer from BJ’s such as, but not limited to the following:

• $10 off the annual Membership Fee (for new members or renewals); the fee is normally $50 for Inner Circle^® memberships, and $20 off the annual Rewards^® memberships; the fee is normally $100;
• 15-month membership (three extra months at no cost);
• Second membership card free for household member (additional cards are $20 each); and
• BJ’s representatives are available to attend local chapter events and/or meetings to sign up NTEU members for this discount.

There are currently 166 BJ’s Wholesale Clubs in 15 states[1], mostly along the I-95 corridor in the Eastern United States.

Please note, enrollment is limited to specific open periods four times a year.  The current enrollment period for applications has been extended through September 30, 2012.  Also, no applications will be accepted after the promotion period ends.

Members should log on to the NTEU web site, www.nteu.org, Member Benefits / Wholesale Clubs Discounts section, and download an application based on the state or locality where they work.  Please note, this benefit is NOT available at BJ’s Wholesale Club locations or at BJ’s online.  It is only available to members through downloading an application from the NTEU web site and following the instructions on the application.  As with all NTEU benefits, members must log on with their username and password in order to access the Member Benefits portion and download the application.
