December 2006: On November 7, Chapter 293 President Greg Gilman and Vice President Veronica Lewis met with NTEU national President Colleen Kelley and Vice President Frank Ferris, to discuss issues affecting bargaining unit employees at the SEC.

The issues discussed during this productive meeting included compensation and benefits, legislative initiatives, term agreement negotiations, the Student Loan Repayment program and general organizational issues. Kelley and Ferris expressed their strong support for Chapter 293 and its leadership, and agreed to provide continuing assistance and support on a broad range of initiatives.

“It was a great meeting and we got a lot done,” said Vice President Veronica Lewis. “We have a solid relationship with NTEU national that will continue to be important to Chapter 293's success at the SEC in the future.”
