Giugliano, Reid and Suehiro Receive Excellence in Commitment and Contribution Award from the Union

4/16/14: Last week, the union awarded Corp Fin stewards James Giugliano, Kay Reid and Dean Suehiro the Excellence in Commitment and Contribution Award. They were honored for their tireless work behind the scenes on behalf of SEC employees, organizing our annual meetings and lunch and learns and coordinating various other programs. Also receiving this award was OIEA steward April Keyes. Dean and Kay also received ten-year service awards.

The awards ceremony took place during the National Treasury Employees Union's National Steward Training Conference. Dozens of SEC stewards, along with stewards from many other federal agencies, attended the conference, where they received training on a wide range of issues, including the new CBA, compensation matters, performance management, representation of employees, litigation updates, etc.

"To receive this award is an honor and the employees in Corp Fin should be very proud to have among them such talented individuals who have volunteered countless hours to make a positive contribution to the union," Chapter 293 President Greg Gilman said this morning. "I know that I am extremely proud of my association and work with Kay, Dean and James. They are all extremely giving individuals who deserve to be recognized for their tireless efforts."
