2/27/09: NTEU Chapter 293 President Greg Gilman and new SEC Chairman Mary Schapiro met this week at SEC Headquarters in Washington. During the meeting, Gilman and Schapiro discussed a broad range of topics concerning the SEC's future, compensation and benefits, the merit pay system, personnel issues, and labor management relations at the agency.

"It was a very positive meeting," Gilman remarked afterwards. "I told Chairman Schapiro that SEC employees are pleased that she is here and eager to make improvements on a number of fronts and move ahead with the agency's mission. I'm looking forward to working with her and her staff on various issues in the coming weeks and months."
