Update on Changes to TSP

05/13/2022

In case you may not have heard, the Federal Retirement Thrift Investment Board (FRTIB) provided NTEU with notice that they will be suspending transactions and services in TSP for a few weeks beginning on May 16, 2022. During this period, TSP will work to update its database as well as add new online user features, including: the creation of a mobile app, an update to MyAccount, and 24/7 virtual assistance. FRTIB expects this transition period to last until the first week of June.

The FRTIB has assured us that your money and retirement investments will not be impacted. Any new money that you contribute will continue to be invested according to your specifications, and any money you currently have invested will continue to grow. No one will be penalized during this transition period.

Please note, however, that if you were planning to make a TSP transaction, make changes to your investment choices, or take out a TSP loan, you should plan to do that before Monday, May 16, 2022, or wait until the transition is complete.
