10/6/07: The Association of Securites and Exchange Commission Alumni, Inc. ("ASECA") is sponsoring $3,000 scholarship awards for secretaries, paralegals, technical support staff, file clerks and other administrative staff who have worked full time at the SEC for more than one year. ASECA will award up to ten scholarships nationally.

To apply, you must submit the following:

1. A 500-word proposal stating in detail the applicant's educational and professional goals, highlighting the manner in which the applicant intends to utilize the scholarship award to further those goals;

2. A current resume of the applicant's employment and education history; and

3. One or more letters of recommendation from the applicant's supervisor(s) at the SEC.

The submission deadline is January 4, 2008. Submissions may be mailed to ASECA Executive Director, P.O. Box 5767, Washington, D.C. 20016. Scholarship winners will be announced on February 8, 2008 at ASECA's annual dinner in Washington, D.C.
