4/2/08: NTEU is pleased to offer SEC members an opportunity to apply for personal insurance products through Colonial Life from April 2 – April 11. Colonial Life gives you the flexibility to select the products that help meet your individual needs and help provide the protection that you and your family deserve, all through the convenience of payroll deduction.

You can obtain a packet of information from the Union Office in Headquarters, or from your steward in the Regions, on the personal insurance products available and also steps to enroll these benefits by phone directly with a Benefits Representative through the Colonial Life Benefits Center.

We are pleased to announce this new enrollment initiative by phone that NTEU and Colonial Life are making available to active members through the Member Benefits Program. SEC members of NTEU will be the very first members in NTEU to take advantage of this enrollment initiative nationally!

Be sure to review and consider these coverage options during the enrollment period of April 2 – April 11, 2008. NTEU is excited to make these benefits available to members who call toll free 1-877-370-6804 to speak with a Benefits Representative to enroll by phone.

For detailed information on the insurance products available, as well as the steps and documentation needed to enroll, NTEU members should log on to the NTEU website, www.nteu.org with their username and password (if you do not have a username and password, you can create one on the homepage). Once logged on, visit Member Benefits/Insurance.

Only NTEU members can take advantage of this benefit. If you are not currently an NTEU member, please contact a local NTEU steward to sign up.
